More acts have been added to the line-up for this year's Rochdale Feel Good Festival.

The Curious Incident will be making their Rochdale debut. The energetic duo featuring Kairo from South Africa and Diaz from Indonesia are described as 'pop rock with a Caribbean twist' and have received airplay on XFM, Absolute Radio and BBC Introducing. They've played shows and festivals across the world and their cool summer sun kissed hook-laden melodies, influenced by the likes of UB40 and Two Door Cinema Club, are set to be a hit on the main stage this summer.

Also appearing on our main stage will be Emily Faye – billed as one of the most exciting new country acts in the UK. With the help of her bandmates and support of her family, Emily has successfully begun to make her mark. Having travelled to the home of country music - Nashville, Tennessee last year to record her debut EP 'Here I Am' released last month, she was named as one of Rolling Stone Country's 'Top Ten Artists You Need to Know.' Emily is touring the UK with 'Write Like a Girl' this month playing alongside other up and coming artists aimed at putting female country singers back on centre stage.

'The festival has always championed new music as well as established names and our 2018 line-up is looking great'

Another name on the Rochdale line-up is [K S R] – also known as KS Roosevelt. Featured on BBC Introducing, the R&B singer has been seducing audiences with his silky soulful voice and was recently named as one of the 'top 5 musicians and bands to watch in 2018' by the Manchester Evening News. His lyrics tell of life and love in Manchester and he's a growing reputation on the live music scene, following shows at the 02 Ritz in Manchester and Electric in Brixton earlier this year.

Councillor Janet Emsley, our cabinet member for neighbourhoods, community and culture said:

"These 3 acts will bring an intriguing mix of music to our main stage. The festival has always championed new music as well as established names and our 2018 line-up is looking great, with more to come and lots of exciting announcements to make about our family entertainment, food and drink."

The Curious Incident, Emily Faye and KS Roosevelt will be joined by previously announced headliner Feeder, Britpop legends Cast, ska music stars The Uplifters, international songstress Anna Pancaldi, new Manchester band VALA and more to be announced soon, including a local battle of the bands winner.

Rochdale Feel Good Festival returns on Saturday, 18 August 2018, for another showcase of entertainment, food and culture. There will be live music across indoor venues, a main stage against the backdrop of the town hall, a quality food and drink court plus family entertainment.
