Search and read eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines and eGraphicnovels

You can access hundreds of eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines and eGraphicnovels for FREE on your smartphone, tablet or computer. There are no overdue charges and items will be automatically returned at the end of the loan period.

Download, read and listen to eBooks and eAudiobooks

You can borrow up to 5 eBooks and 4 eAudiobooks at a time, each for up to 14 days. Use your account to renew your loans, return items early and reserve items if they're currently on loan. 

To read and listen to eBooks and eAudiobooks:

  1. You'll need your library card number so that you can create an account. Not a member already? Join the library

  2. Using Apple or Android devices: to get eBooks and eAudiobooks on a mobile device, download the BorrowBox app.

  3. Using Amazon Fire devices: to get eBooks and eAudiobooks on your Amazon Fire, you'll need to allow apps from unknown sources. Find out how to allow apps from unknown sources and download the BorrowBox app on Amazon Fire devices

  4. Using laptops or computers: if you're using a laptop or desktop computer, you can browse and download eBooks and eAudiobooks on BorrowBox

  5. Once you’ve installed the app, search for Rochdale Libraries in the ‘Library’ field and log in using your library membership card number and 4-digit PIN.

  6. If you've any questions about using BorrowBox, email their support team at support@bolindadigital.com. If you're using the BorrowBox app, you can go to settings and select 'send feedback' to ask them a question. 

Download and read eMagazines

You can read full digital copies of your favourite magazines on your computer or mobile device. You can borrow an unlimited number of magazines to keep forever or until you delete them from your device.

To read eMagazines:

  1. You'll need your library card number so that you can create an account. Not a member already? Join the library

  2. You'll need to sign up with RBdigital Greater Manchester

  3. Using Apple or Android devices: to view eMagazines on a mobile device, download the RBdigital app.

  4. Using Amazon Fire devices: to get eMagazines on your Amazon Fire device, download the RBdigital app from Amazon  
            
  5. Using laptops or computers: if you're using a laptop or desktop computer, you can browse and download eMagazines on RBdigital

  6. Once you've installed the app, sign in using your RBdigital log in details.

Download and read eGraphicnovels and comics

Access thousands of digital graphic novels and comics on your computer or mobile device. You can borrow as many eGraphicnovels and comics as you'd like for up to one week. You can use your account to renew your items as may times as you wish.

To read eGraphicnovels and comics:

  1. You'll need your library card number so that you can create an account. Not a member already? Join the library

  2. You'll need to sign up with RBdigital Rochdale     

  3. Using Apple or Android devices: to view eGraphicnovels and comics on a mobile device, download the ComicsPlus app. 
    ComicsPlus app on the Apple App Store. ComicsPlus app on Google Play.

  4. Using Amazon Fire devices: eGraphicnovels and comics are not currently available on Amazon devices.

  5. Using laptops or computers: if you're using a laptop or desktop computer, you can browse and download eGraphicnovels and comics on ComicsPlus

  6. Once you've installed the app, sign in using your RBdigital log in details.

Please remember to bring identification when you first visit the library to borrow items - for example, utility bill, driving licence or bank statement.
