Who can join the library?
Anyone can join the library. It doesn't matter if you live or work outside of Rochdale borough. As long as you're a UK resident, you can become a member of our libraries.
How much does it cost to join the library?
Library membership is FREE for everyone.
How do I join the library?
You can complete our online form to join the library. It's FREE and only takes a few minutes to complete.
You'll need to:
- Follow the link below to view and accept the conditions of membership.
- Complete the online form to register to join the library. Then you'll get a library membership number. You can use this straight away to download
eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines, as well as to access other
online library resources.
- Collect your library card from one of libraries listed on this page. You'll need to bring some identification with you showing your name and current address. If you're under 14 years old, a parent or guardian will need to accompany you to the library, bringing some identification for themselves such as a utility bill, driving licence or bank statement.

What can I do once I've joined the library?
Once you've joined the library, you'll be able to use any library in Rochdale borough. You can do more than borrow books with your library membership.
