Adult wellness JSNA

Wellness and wellbeing are both important parts of adult health:

  • Wellness is what you do to keep yourself mentally and physically healthy such as exercise and healthy eating.  
  • Wellbeing is your welfare, relationships and how you feel in body and mind.

Many adult residents in the borough experience challenges that make it difficult to feel good and do things to keep themselves healthy.

We need practical action to help our residents increase wellness and positive wellbeing. This includes individual action and community action and improving welfare through sectors such as housing. 

Increased wellness and positive wellbeing is very likely to decrease illness and how often our health services need to be used.
