COVID-19: Additional Restrictions Grant - National Lockdown

The Additional Restrictions Grant supports businesses severely impacted by COVID-19 restrictions.

What the Additional Restrictions Grant (National Lockdown) is

The Additional Restrictions Grant is available for certain businesses:

Who are forced to close because of the 4-week national lockdown restrictions, from Thursday, 5 November 2020 - Wednesday, 2 December 2020, and must not have their own specific rateable value;

or

Who are suppliers to the hospitality and leisure sectors and have been severely impacted by the national lockdown.

Eligibility

You need to meet all the following criteria if you have been legally forced to close to be eligible for the Additional Restrictions Grant:

  • You must not have your own specific rateable value. However, if you do have a rateable value, you may be able to apply for a National Localised Restrictions Support Grant (closed) instead.
  • You were trading on Thursday, 22 October 2020.
  • You had to close your business because of the 4-week national restrictions starting on Thursday, 5 November 2020.
  • You have business premises and do not work from home.

Or meet all of this criteria if you're a supplier to the leisure and hospitality sector:

  • Your business is a supplier to the leisure or hospitality sector and has been severely impacted by the national lockdown.
  • You were trading on Thursday, 22 October 2020.
  • You have business premises and do not work from home.

What you'll get

If you have been legally forced to close but don't have a rateable value and you're eligible, you'll receive a single fixed payment of £1,000 to cover the full 4-week period. If you've more than one qualifying business property, you'll receive a grant for each property. 

if you're a supplier to the leisure and hospitality sector you will receive the following amounts indicated in the table below for each qualifying business property. .

How to claim

To claim the Additional Restrictions Support Grant:

  1. Complete an application form.
  2. Email your completed application form and evidence to external.funding@rochdale.gov.uk.
  3. Send a copy of your latest bank statement showing the sort code and account number for your business account receiving your grant payment.

We will NOT be able to process your form without your bank statement.

How you're paid

The Additional Restrictions Grant will be paid into your bank or building society account.

Once we've received your completed form and verified the evidence you've submitted, we aim to make a payment within 7 working days. If we need any additional information, we'll contact you.
