Street Eat 2019 has now finished. We'll update this page when we have the details for the 2020 event. In the meantime, you can read about what happened at the 2019 event below.

The sights, sounds, the smells and of course the tastes will make for another unmissable 2 days. Street Eat is family-friendly with activities and rides for the children, a bar for the adults and live entertainment for everyone.

This year, Street Eat will be plastic free for the first time. All food will be served in compostable sugar cane cartons or on sugar cane plates that are heat resistant and greaseproof. You'll be able to tuck in using wooden cutlery and drinks will be served in 100% paper cups with paper straws. Even the table linings will be made from 100% kraft paper. In fact, everything used to serve food and drinks at the event will be home compostable. Recycling bins will also be on site.

All the biodegradable alternatives have been supplied by Rochdale company The Paper Concept.

Henry Yau, Paul Ambrose, Jayne May, Arron Dixon and Ben Boothman show off the wooden cutlery.
