The Remembrance Sunday service for 2020 has now finished. We'll update this page when we have details of the next event.
In September 2020 we announced, in line with national advice, there will be no official remembrance parades and services taking place across the borough this year.
Instead, we encourage you to pay your respects at home, by observing the national 2-minute silence and following special council videos, pictures and social media coverage.
We'll stream a special service paying tribute to the fallen on our Facebook page from 10.50am, Sunday, 8 November 2020. It will also be available to view on our YouTube and Twitter pages.
The remembrance service video will feature contributions from veterans, local councillors, the Member of the Youth Parliament, religious leaders and young musicians.
You can also send in pictures showing yourself paying tribute and 'remembering at home' to firstname.lastname@example.org.We'll promote selected pictures across our social media channels throughout the day, using the hashtag #RochdaleRemembers.
