Activities at the centre
There's a warm welcome to mums, dads, grandparents and carers with children aged 0-5 years as well as childminders and those who look after children. Newbold Children's Centre welcome all members of the Newbold community into their centre with a wide range of activities to suit different lifestyles, from soon to be parents through to those with children that are about to start school.
Typical sessions include:
- Healthy Little Eaters - cook healthy alternatives to your children's favourite foods.
- Little Movers - fun physical play session.
- Citizens Advice - advice session for families with children under 5 years of age.
- Stay and Play - fun play sessions for children aged 0-4 years.

Situated in a purpose built facility on Moss Street, Newbold Sure Start Children's Centre offers a welcoming and safe environment for families with children aged 0-5 years. There are excellent indoor and outdoor play facilities and a variety of sessions for children with parents, and parents only, including an active parents group and play sessions for children to develop their own social skills. Newbold is the main 'hub' children's centre, with Moorhouse Children's Centre branching from it.
Newbold Children's Centre offers the Family Journey Programme, a series of 12 workshops shaped to support families at the different stages of your child's development, such as weaning, potty training and going to nursery.
Newbold Children’s Centre has Crèche and Co Private Day Nursery on site offering full day care.

Advice and information from Citizens Advice Bureau
Citizens Advice Bureau offer a service within the centre to the parents of children under 5 and pregnant mothers. The advice sessions are free, independent, impartial and confidential. The sessions will offer advice on any topic including:
- Debt Advice.
- Budget Advice.
- Tax Credits.
