It's important to find Rochdale foster carers for Rochdale children and young people to enable them to maintain continuity in their lives and relationships. We're interested in hearing from people from all backgrounds who can provide a stable home life for children and young people. We're keen to recruit a wide range of families.
A group of siblings
It's important to try to keep brothers and sisters together in their foster placement and so we need foster carers who have the space to care for larger sibling groups (this is more than 3).
Older children and young people
We currently have a shortage of foster carers who can offer placements for older children between the ages of 12 and 18. Watch our video on fostering teenagers below.

Black and minority ethnic children
It's important to enable children to grow up where their cultural and religious needs can be met and we require foster carers from a variety of ethnic and religious backgrounds.
Mother and baby placements
We need foster carers who can provide a home to care for and support young parents and their child.
Children with challenging behaviours
Children who have experienced significant trauma may need highly skilled carers to help them cope with their behaviours and transition into adulthood.
